Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an official government website?
No. PIBS is an independently developed utility information platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with any government organization or utility provider.
Does this website issue electricity bills?
No. We display available bill information retrieved through the relevant utility's own public bill-lookup service. We do not generate or issue official bills.
Do you accept payments?
No. This platform does not collect or process bill payments of any kind.
What is a reference number?
It's the identifier printed on your electricity bill used to look up your billing record. See our reference number guide for details.
What is a customer ID?
A longer-term identifier tied to your electricity connection, distinct from a per-bill reference number. See our customer ID guide.
Do you save my reference number?
No. Your reference number is used only to process the requested lookup and is not permanently stored. See our Privacy Policy.
Why is bill information temporarily unavailable?
This usually means the underlying utility service could not be reached, the reference number didn't match a record, or the response couldn't be understood. See our bill unavailable guide.
Why does "View Original Bill" open another website?
It opens the relevant utility's own official bill service directly in a new tab, so you can view or verify the complete original record on their site.
Why might the utility service not load?
Government and utility services can experience downtime or may only be reliably reachable from within Pakistan. This platform does not attempt to bypass such restrictions.
Are calculator results official?
No. All calculator results (load, solar, usage) are informational estimates only and do not represent official tariffs or utility calculations.
Which electricity companies are supported?
IESCO, LESCO, FESCO, GEPCO, MEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, and TESCO. See the full list on the Utility Bills page.
