No accounts, no database
This platform has no user accounts and no database. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing tied to a persistent user profile.
How a bill lookup works
When you submit a reference number on a provider's bill page:
- Your browser sends the reference number to our server over an encrypted connection.
- Our server transmits it to the relevant utility's public bill-lookup service to request available bill information.
- We parse and display whatever information is returned, using our own page design.
This means your reference number does leave your browser — it is transmitted to our server, and our server transmits it onward to the relevant utility service, purely to fulfil your request. We do not claim this data "never leaves your browser," because for our own lookup feature, it does.
"View Original Bill"
The "View Original Bill" link opens the relevant utility's own official page directly in a new browser tab. Any information you enter there goes straight from your browser to that utility's website — it does not pass through our server at all.
What we do not store
We do not permanently store your reference number, customer ID, or any bill information (including consumer name, address, amounts, or dates) retrieved on your behalf. This data exists only for the duration of processing your request and is discarded afterwards.
What we do not log
Our application is built not to intentionally write reference numbers, customer IDs, or fetched bill details into application logs, error reports, or analytics.
Standard technical logs
Like virtually any website, our hosting/server infrastructure may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. These are operational logs, not a record of your bill contents.
Payments
We do not collect or process any bill payment information. This platform cannot be used to pay a bill.
No selling of data
We do not sell utility identifiers, reference numbers, or any information submitted through this platform.
Cookies
We use a minimal, first-party session cookie strictly required for CSRF (cross-site request forgery) protection on our own forms. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
